Three Cactus Bees

August 27, 2019August 27, 2019Posted in PhotographyTagged bees, cactus bee, Photography, pollinators, prickly pear flower1 Comment

We just got back from a trip out west, and I was so lucky to find these three cactus bees, all snuggled and bee butt up for the night. #amazinglifeofbees #cactusbee #pollinators

Raspberry pollen is all the buzz

Found this Bumblebee buzzing around the raspberry patch. This bee was so big…it seems like they are bigger than I saw around here last year. They say a Bubblebee won’t sting ya, but I still haven’t attempted to pick one up.

Bumblebee doing the anther dance

The more I look at the Rhododendrons in pink, red and purple…that more I’m amazed at the design of these beautiful blooms.  The anthers are perfectly placed for this traveler to carry some precious pollen to the next flower.  Nature is amazing!

Honeybees and Apple Blossoms are a sure sign of spring! I look forward to this time of year all winter long!

Spring Honeysuckle and Bee

I love that I was able to grab this shot.  It was a dreary day out, and I was sure I wouldn’t be able to see any bee’s.  I was wrong, and this beautiful girl had found plenty of pollen too, which is hard to find after it rains.
